David Cochrane, 27 years old and living in Dublin, Ireland. Campaign Director for leading No campaign in Lisbon 1, in favour of a Yes vote in the second referendum (click here for why).

In the past I regularly appeared on Newstalk’s Late Night Live as a guest commentator (before the show was killed off), and have written for many publications about politics and the internet.

I’m a full member of the Public Relations Insitute of Ireland, so from time to time get to throw “MPRII” at the end of my name.

I was Campaign Director for Libertas’ “No to Lisbon” campaign, was a digital media consultant for the political campaign recently, working alongside political consultants Joe Trippi and Lynton Crosby in Brussels. Running a website for 27 countries in the 22 working languages of the European Union was tough, but a huge amount of fun learning about different political cultures and their interaction with social and digital media.

Am presently doing some freelance stuff, and after a well-deserved holiday in North America, am on the hunt for a new full-time position.

I know it’s a dreadful picture, my sister took it whilst out on birthday drinks about two years ago, it’s been used by many outlets, including Hot Press (no idea…. – but at least Sinead, my sister who took the pic managed to get some money off them for using her copyrighted work which they lifted off her Bebo).
